Well, I have a crush on my best friend but the problem is he's gay, so I know I don't have a chance. I try to move on and not let it bother me but the more I try the less it works. What's worse is that my step-dad won't let me talk to him because he's gay. My friend is really nice and he's one of the only people that would be there for me when I needed someone to talk to. I keep trying to talk to my step dad about how important my friend is to me but that just gets me yelled at. How can I tell my step-dad that gay people are just as normal as everyone else? And what should I do about my crush on my best friend?

Ok. You guys helped but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. My friend already knows I like him. Like I already said, I tryed talking to my step-dad. My mom likes him but still doesn't want me talking to him because of my step-dad. And all the straight guys I know are jerks, relatives, or just don't like me more than a friend. And I know my step-dad's a homophobe. That's why I want help on how to tell my him that gay people are as normal as we are. Thanks to everyone who helps. It means a lot!
