That means you are running from responsibilities or

being chased = being criticized

Maybe in your life, you feel like being criticized on things you do, and you don't get appreciated or respected. So, you vent it out in dreams

A lot of people find dreams to be our subconscious talking to us while we sleep. Running away could mean that you never settle down or that at the first sign of anything you run away. Running away from problems. Running away from fears you are to afraid to face even though you know they are there. It could mean many things. There are some sites that give you better results than I am. I used to use them a lot. Never one in particular but just type in dream interpretation into your search engine and it should bring up a site or two. But the fact that you are running to me sounds like you are not facing something that you should be. Look around and see what you need to face and face it. Some things can't be changed.

It might mean that you are avoiding something or are feeling insecure about something. It could also mean that you are afraid to face your fears.

You're the best one who can figure out what your dreams mean...

However, some people think that dreams don't mean anything at all... You might just be dreaming of stressful situations like this because you're dealing with a lot of stress or confusion in your daily life.

Either way, you can type "dream dictionary" in Google, and click on whatever links look helpful to you...

Dreams are a way your brain, and your inner self are communicating with you, in a language that's theirs, (yours) even it's somewhat blurry. You have to translate and make clear every meaning, that is meant for you.
You can get help for these "translations" with your psychiatrist or psychologist, or read about in books like Dr. Fritz Pearls' Dreams and Existence.
Dreams are always some message your inner self is sending to you. You may want to read it or not, it's up to you.
Being chased is obviously a dream about anxiety and fears. As they seemingly are really unpleasant, I think you better read the message and throw it away as you can solve it.
Good luck, and good nights!,

Not a big fan of dream interpretation. If you have been having this dream long time as an adult, than there must be something recurring in your life. Identify that recurring thing and you have your answer.

i wish i could tell you what it means. i wish i knew because i went through the same thing! i was chased by dogs, monsters, bad guys, birds, cars...you name it. then i started seeing a new guy which turned out to be a pretty serious relationship and i haven't had one chase dream since. i often thought it was my fear of committment, so i guess you could say i was running away from my fears AND running away from committment. ???

I believe it means that you are afraid to confront things. And in your situation the best way to not face something or to try to make it go away is to run or hide from it.

sometimes people say it might just be a sign of illusions some people say it might be a sign of the future. It might be just simply illusions. Since dreams are not controlled by the human brain, it displays illusions that just appear.
