She's not on all the currency, just the coins and the 20 dollar bill (and maybe some super high denominations.)

Canada is an independent country, got it in 1967. We arent answerable to the England, despite some dumb responses above.

We are part of the British Commonwealth, made up of former colonies still on good terms with the UK.

The Queen is the Head of State, though its a ceremonial post. All bills must be signed by the Queen to become law, though in reality the Governor General (an appointed, ceremonial post) fulfills that function. In reality, neither the Queen nor the Gov Gen can actually stop a bill from becoming law.

Because, Canada is still apart of the British monarchy. They have their own government and all but if something were to happen they would answer to the crown. Canada has never gained its independence from Brittain and has never tried.

Canada, although it's own country, was founded by the French and Brittish. The Brittish won it all and today still remain loyal to the crown.
