Why do people buy Lacoste shirts? $75 for a shirt? Even I dont have a shirt that costs more than $30 and I am known for being well dressed. I feel like a loser when I dont have a $75 shirt. Do you buy Lacoste and why?

nope i don't buy lacost shirts. they are ridiculously expensive. I would never spend that much on a single t-shirt. They look a lot like oldnavy t-shirts that are like $10.

I am a big Lacoste fan. Lacoste's clothes are well-tailored and well-made. My favorite polo shirt is Lacoste and it is so comfortable and cute. I agree that $75 seems like a lot, and I'm not about to argue that people (myself included) aren't paying for the brand, but they are very nice shirts (and other clothes).

With much high fashion clothing, you get what you pay for. That is, you know your clothes are going to be well made with quality materials, and in some cases, by hand.

With the Lacoste shirts, in this case, you're also paying for that alligator logo, you're paying for the Lacoste brand. People pay extra for brands that are going to be recognized. In my mind, I also feel that people are paying for, i don't know how to explain, the feeling you get when you know people are saying "Ooh, he's wearing Lacoste..." It makes you feel special, makes you feel like a big deal that you're wearing high fashion.

Personally, I don't own any Lacoste shirts. I think it would be nice to have one, as a special splurge for a special occasion, but I don't feel like a loser since I don't have any. I don't think it's worth it to have a closet full of Lacoste. Besides, if I did, people might take me for a rich snob.... ;)

It all depends on the person.. some people will buy expensive designer shirts and such just for the label and to look "cool" or will only wear those designer labels (aka snobs) but others will buy it just because they PERSONALLY like it and would like to treat them-self to an expensive outfit.. as mentioned before the higher end apparel does tend to last longer and withstands more wear n' tear. And others just have th money to go out and spend it on expensive designer brands without really thinking about it. I like to mix expensive pieces in with stuff I find on the clearance rack.. who really cares. Oh yes and the "in style" factor or whats "hot" at the time also is a big part!

where i live, a lacoste shirt is 30-40 and up dollars... i had to go all the way to jamaica.. the reason for buying expensive shirts is because they will last longer and wont fade or shrink as easly as cheaper ones.. better material, ect...

first of all, if a person is rich, why not buy something expensive if you can afford it.....hey, if you cant afford it DONT BUY IT

Where are you getting yours at for $75 a shirt? You should try to find a boutique that carries them or shop online. I never pay more than $40 for one for my hubby so please don't feel like a looser. It's just the area you are in is jacking up their prices...............trust.....
