I asked my doctor this, since we're trying to get pregnant and riding my horses is very important to me. She said riding is not the problem, but falling off is. Don't fall off. Also, when its too hard to get in the saddle, then its time to stop riding.

Obiviously, I'm not going to ride the hotter horses in my herd for a while ;)

It depends on several factors. how far along the rider is, the gentleness of the horse and how long would you ride. My aunt rode her horse while she was pregnant with her first child. Some doctors will of course advise against it later in the pregnancy. Hey to me its alot safer then drinking and smoking when your pregnant!

Yes- I rode until 7mnths, but you have to pace yourself and make sure you are on a really safe mount, because a fall could jeapordise your babys health. I rode until the movement caused too much discomfort.

I would not recommend it, as it could be fatal to you and your baby if you have an accident and fall off. But, if you want to risk it, be my guest!!! P.S. I was pregnant myself not that long ago, I rode my horse Misty , fell of and had a i miscarraige. So, that's it for you.

I don't see why it wouldn't. As long as you keep it slow so you won't fall off and hurt the baby. It might be a little hard once you get really big but I'm sure it won't do any harm.

for a few months. then it's not a good idea at all. it really depends on what your doctor says. you can still stay around them. just not riding.

i personally would say no because even though you may have the most gentle reliable horse they still have natural instincts and can bolt, buck, rear and kick if something spooks them.

I'd say for a few months, but not when you're due within a month or so....but I wouldn't know anything....ask a doctor.

If it's something that the person has regularly done, and is confident in the animal and their abilities - no problem.
