Unfortunately there are several racist people in America, however you can not pigeon hole all black people and believe that all black people blame "the man". just like all white people are not racist. There is no set answer to the question. It is about what individuals think and believe not one race or another

A lot of white people(not all white people) look at black people as a threat. a black person with knowledge is feared upon and a black person who is ignorant is embraced because there eyes r shut too what is really going on in there surrounding. a smart black person is dangerous because we ain't going take no sh*t or be kiss asses for the man( the man can be of any color). sometimes none of this matters. if your right for the job then you'll get it, if not, ur bad. get more education. basically i think it sometimes boils down to some regretful things in the past on a lot nationalities.people don't know how to live and learn. but too me , these r new times so if u don't get the career u want be a man or woman about ur sh*t and dust urself off and try again. nothing can stop a person but themselves. being persistent is the a good key to follow.

In reality, you stereotype, I stereotype, I am prejudice, you are prejudice. We gravitate towards our own kind, we prefer to hang around our own kind. Now when you have a country that is statistically and drastically more populated with one race than another, don't you think that the media, job market, and just about everything will be affected by it? The majority holds all of the power. How many real black women do you see on television? We have Halle Berry who is half white and half black, we have Beyonce, Cierra, Ashanti, Naomi Cambell, and about every other female on the television that mixed with some other race other than black. Beauty is obviously not black is it? Do you get pulled over for absolutely nothing by the police? Do white people disregard you as a equal? You don't think this effects self-esteem? Aspirations? A realist would find this factor obvious and understand why minorities and blacks are complaing about being held back. Have you ever dated a black skinned flat nosed women? I bet not. Do you think it is easy to suceed and stay positive and motivated when you always the wallflower at the party? You are as much as I am responsible for racism in this world.

You are a white man and you are keeping the black man down. You don't know you are because has been conditioned in you. You think that it is normal and you don't think twice about the ways in which you hold blacks down. You buddy, are responsible for blacks not succeeding.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? I don't know you so I don't know what you are like. The "white man" that blacks are speaking about is more about a system than an individual white. The system (government, businesses, etc) are the ones who policies harm, displace, or work towards the detriment of blacks.
You personal, are the the "man" in which blacks speak about.

Why do you speak in such generalities? Why do dogs hate cats? Why do mice love cheese? Why do birds fly South? These are all generalities and there's no way anyone can answer these questions with a blanket response.
Do you really believe you're the only white man alive? Do you speak for the intentions of this race? This question is too general to be answered.

okay first and foremost f u c k all you racist people on here. We say "the man" is oppressing us, because he is. Maybe your forgetting about slavery, maybe segregation, or maybe the fact that every time the police see a black person pushin anything over a hooptie they pull them over. Maybe you don't know who Rodney King, or better yet Martin Luther King is. Maybe you lived in a box all your life , s h i t I don't know. But what i do know, is that you and your people have tried since the begging of time to bring my people down. You walked right over to North America and killed off the Indian Americans, then you came over to Africa and enslaved us , and still today we are sneered at, discriminated against, and looked downwardly upon, WHY ??? I'm still trying to find the answer, this is to dis to you, but don't ask stupid questions.

Methinks it's merely a "reflection" of when white people complain about the "black man" & how they're "this" or "that"- & it prevents THEM from the same thing! -In short, the two sides cancel each other out, leaving the silent majority in the middle to go about their business in harmony & with mutual respect.

complaints about 'white man' keeping them down are to validate their lack of desire willingness and even back bone to go against a trend for fear of acting white (successful blacks). As an H.R. interviewer , finding a black who has read or even knows about "Think and Grow Rich - Blacks Choice" is hard. There are a multitude of well written books by blacks who decided excuses where not going to dictate their futures (Les Brown) for one. They need to accept they are black and use the fact as a stepping stone or building block , not as an anchor or shackle. However they accept failure easier than success. It is easier and certain political leaches use this concept to load their pockets. Blacks see easy money in sports or music or drugs, then don't even look at how many actually succeed.

very recent tests have shown that the same resume will get a person hired if the name on it is john smith and will not get a person hired if the name tyrone smith is on it. very recent tests have shown that when a white person asks if an apartment is vacant and is told yes, a black person who shows up to see that apt. will be told it's been rented.
very real things like that keep some blacks wary about us. oh yeah, that and new orleans.

You're not the only White person in the world. Despite what you think, racism still exists in some places. I, myself, don't experience it but i'm sure there have been people who have encountered unfortunate circumstances simple because they were Black.
