freshmen year i took intergerated math 1 and
sophmore year i took geometry and
junior year i'm taking alegbra 2.

and in order to pass highschool you need to take alegrba 1.

and the school is deciding that the intergrated class i took isn't going to count as Alegrba 1 so they want me to take either.

algbra 1 or 2, and then it will count.

currently i'm enrolled for alegbra 2 but i forgot everything about some stuff in alegbra like radicals and how to simply and such.

so i don't know if i should go and retake alegbra 1 JUNIOR year or just continue with the class i'm taking.. which is alegbra 2 and stuggle with it.

Well, the prerequisite for Alg 2 is Alg 1... if you pass 2, then you should get retroactive credit for 1... you should see if your school will allow you to take the final for Algebra 1 before enrolling in the class so that if you pass it, they know that you're ready for Algebra 2.

I had problems in Algebra 1 when I took it... I got a C in the class and decided it wouldn't be smart to go on to Algebra 2 without knowin the basics of Algebra 1 so I took it again and ever since, I have been a real math whiz :)

Well, I would say take Algebra 2. But before you do that, spend some time by yourself reviewing some of the most important topics (like how to factor, use the quadratic formula, finding slope of lines and equations for lines, radicals, etc.). Then you'll be more prepared. Get a math text with answers or see if there is a Algebra 1 tutorial on the Internet.

If you don't know what you are doing in algebra 2 then you should consider retaking algebra 1. It sounds like you still have plenty of time in high school to retake algebra 1. Trying to continue in algebra 2 w/o a good understanding of algebra 1 would just be confusing

You should just move onto Algebra 2 ever since it shares similar topics as Algebra 1. If you face any problems you can't seem to solve or just feel stuck, you can always go to your teacher and ask for help in and out of class. There's no reason to retake a class just because you forgot a couple of topics that will be reused in Algebra 2.

Well, I suggest you sit in the front of the class and ask the teacher questions and don't be afraid of what your friends might think because they are probably the same ones who need the help but is just waiting for someone to ask the question. Just don't be afraid of what they think, if they laugh or make fun of you they ain't going nowhere far and their not really your friends. Think about for minute.

I'm taking pre-cal as a junior. Algebra 2 is a snap. They reteach you everything from algebra 1. They just go a little more in depth.

I would consider talking to your school's guidance councelor and/or your school's math teachers for advice. They will know your school's requirements for graduating, and will know which choice would be best.
