"Falling" implies, that you are dropping that HIGH guard that many of us wear, whenever we encounter people.

When you are "falling" for someone, that guard drops, you want them to see the REAL you, the side of you, that you hope they will place on a pedistal too, like you have them.

FALLING, is a great feeling, like jumping from a plane.
Only thing, is that you don't want to crash and burn.
Safe landing.

It begins high. You begin on top of the world. Happiness that you think can not cease, but as time goes love falls to a lower level. If ignored and not noticed, it dwindles down. Without some kind of new kindling. It disappears. mamy

If it is a slip then you can manage easily and get up as if nothing has happened and proceed in the direction you were going. But if you fall everything will change ,you have to go to hospital, medicines, rest, pain, handicaps, scars and you will be a different person and the way of life will change thereafter. It will not apply to one night stand.

Not me. I snapped into love. My friend bounced into it, my sister jumped into it and my cousins both sauntered across it. LOL

But I do agree with some of the above answers being you don't have any control over falling. You can't choose not to hit the ground when you're falling, the same as you can't choose not to love someone when you're falling for them.

Falling in love and falling off a cliff are are the same in the fact that once you make that leap, there's no turning back until you hit the bottom.

You're taking a risk and it's like you're falling through a black hole of happiness, joy, anger, love, and any other possible emotions. Falling is painful, like love.

Hmm I guess I don't know, when I'm in love I always feel like I'm being lifted. Not like I'm falling.

When you fall down and when you fall in love, you are moving inexorably towards something, without there being anything you can do about it.

Love's a big burning pit that you fall into. It's hot and sweaty and if you make it out unscathed, then good on ya.
