Judge her on her musical tastes and see how she likes it. A friend used to do this to me and i just got fed up and started making comments on her musical tastes/making equal fun out of them. In the end we agreed to disagree, Everyone has and is allowed their own tastes in music and she just has to respect that.
At the end of the day, having a different taste in music is something that makes you unique as a person. So don't change that for anyone or for the purpose of fitting in with your friends. If she really is your friend then she shouldn't care about something as trivial as the music you listen. It also sounds like she's prejudging your music tastes by all the crap that goes along with the word 'emo' so you could also try burning a CD of your fave songs and give it to your friend. Only accept her/his opinion of your music after they have listened to it. I found some of my friends that judged my music tastes cause they were considered Emo actually had never listened to the music i listened to. Some even ended up liking some of my music after i forced them to listen to it when they judged me.

Music is a personal preference.If your friend doesn't respect that then she isn't much of a friend.
