It depends on your webcam software..typically in a drop down menu there is the option 'snaopshot' or 'capture jpg' or something similar. If not, you can use the Print Screen button next to your scrool lock button on your keyboard, and take a snapshot of your entire screen, paste it into a blank document in your image editor, and crop the photo down to the web cam pic. Make sure you let the person know who you are taking the screen shot of as a courtesy of course.

I guess some of them are different but on mine: Open My Computer. On the bottom of the screen your camera should be listed. Clk on the listing and the camera software should come up giving you the option or adjusting and taking a pic.

If that doesn't work: clk on the folder for the camera and see if there is anything in the folder that gets you into the software. A neat option if you have it is to set it up as a motion detector and it will take pics as long as it sees motion making a 'movie' for you!
You should have said what brand web cam you have for a better answer.

ther wud be a button on ur webcam so that u can click or in the software that has been provided to u, open that software wid ur webcan on and then click on capture imaga/video.
