Absolutely, I highly recommend it.
I can help you if you wish. Contact me at zach.doty@gmail.com
I was issued one at birth. But I have a fifty-page termination document prepared and ready, I will file it the minute I turn 18.
The Social Security contract may be terminated for the following reasons:
1.) Is filled with fine print, stipulations, and snakes in the grass. This constitutes fraud, and it is therefore void ab initio.
2.) If you were automatically signed up at birth, the contract becomes voidable when you come of age.
3.) It violates public policy by subjecting the user to subrogation. I don’t have time to fully cover this issue here, but it is outlined in the social security code.
4.) 20 CFR 404.1905
5.) SSA-521 Withdrawal of Social Security Application
6.) IRS form 4029: Application for Exemption from Social Security Taxes and Waiver of Benefits
Write up a Notices of Termination. It doesn't need to be fancy, but it should be divided into four parts; (1) notification of your termination, (2) authority for your termination (fraud, etc.), (3) negative averments, and (4) declaration of standing, capacity, and character. The Notice of Termination should be signed, sealed (right thumbprint), witnessed, notarized, apostilled, and sent by certified mail, return receipt requested. You may need a verified copy for future jurisdictional issues.
The negative averments should be designed to place the burden of proof upon them, make them prove jurisdiction, make them prove you cannot rescind your signature. If they can't, won't, or don't, they wave it by tacit agreement.
Having a SSN waves a LOT of rights, I HIGHLY recommend you terminate it.
Sincerely, Zach Doty

No. Social Security is not an option because it is necessary for the survival of our nation. You may need it some day yourself. Unfortunately, you can't rely on your retirement plan because we have seen what can become of those. Besides, your participation is needed because we have a lot of people depending on it because that is how the system was when they were aging. And if people were able to opt out, we could cause a much bigger problem than you missing out on some $$$ from your pay check.
What you may want to opt out of is paying welfare benefits. I pay them and have never collected social welfare. To make things worse, some people make a career out of collecting welfare.

That's like saying that you don't have to pay taxes. You receive benefits from government services, if you don't like thee way the money is spent you must address the government and the people it represents and change policy. So try to get social security withdrawn or legally nullified, although no matter where you live you receive farm subsidies for cheaper food, clean water, sewage systems, roads and transportation, electricity, military protections, communication, education etc. (list is endless) from the government. So do your neighbors. If they did not receive such things you would be in a lot of trouble. You were born owing a great debt to this society, and since it has already been taken and received (have you driven on a road, lived in a city, town or community, are you educated, have you been protected by laws?) you cannot give such benefits back. A lot of people complain about how they’ve made it on their own, or they don’t owe anyone. Of course you do, you’ve never been able to think about all you have received. Go to an area of the world without a working government, without police, without schools or food or water and see. Don’t complain about paying for a little part of the great privileged you have received. Finally if you feel our tax dollars are being misspent (stolen by non-Americans), or the government is not providing the services that we created it to perform- than you must lobby for change or act to absolve the government. I can see how many people see the government is failing to perfom its duties of protecting, serving, or providing aid in times of disaster. The people who are mismanaging or weakening our government must be held accountable. But if you fail to see the need for the US Constitution, Bill of Rights, and for Our USA, then you have no place here. Go live on an island and defend it as long as you can. Social Security is being stolen and misused by a great deal of enemies of our country who sap our resources, but we can as a people address and change this. To stop paying money in to the government is not the solution. We are Americans and as a country there are certain standards of living provided by social security that we aspire to uphold, intruders be damned. If you want to see dead children in the street go to Bombay, I wont have it here.
PS A slave is considered property of another person. This usually means you are denied freedoms of mind and body. You would not be asked for money if you were a slave, you would work for no compensation or guarantee of compensation. That makes a slave. Don’t cry wolf, the world may once again be pushed into those days as the human detritus reproduces and the Slavery Empire of one particular religion I won’t name here expands.

As soon as you support my right to opt out of Income tax, and my neighbors rights to opt out of sales tax and my landlords right to opt out of property taxes. Sheez get a clue, social security is just another ponzi scheme to force tax collection on people more or less willing in the beginning to accept government handouts when they are old.

I believe social security is the biggest blundered plan from the start that the US has ever instituted. I would like to know how to opt out... post back later if you find out how.
How is it people don't understand socialism is just a way of making the government richer and the worker poorer and menial?

Chances are you have family members currently on Social Security. If you opt out and everyone decides to, who pays for our elderly folks. Yes, they paid into the system in their working years, but it is no where close to what they are drawing now. I don't care for the Social Security System either, but I don't care for watching our old folks starve to death and/or be in shelters, or worse on the streets.

Absolutely.
The government should not assume that it can handle my money better they I can. I believe that i can invest money better then a bunch of overpaid bureaucrats.
If the Social Security cannot be abolished altogether, at least the Government should let me control my account.
I am tired of the government treating me as an irresponsible child, and mishandling my money at the same time.

The system is based on the theory that some will collect more than others. Actually it includes disabilty and benefits for families fo the deceased, s you have to figgure those amounts in. The reality, they WONT change it right or wrong.

If you are willing to opt-out of the benefits and not expect that the government should take care of you any time in your life, Yes.

You are a slave and you don't have a choice. I fully support your right to opt out of the receipts, just you keep paying your share.
