In truth, it doesn't matter. Some people just take rivalry to a whole new level with it. It's an act of aggression (Albeit, a harmless one in most cases) and competition. The only cases when it makes a difference is when you are discussing controversial or political issues with someone (Which is why people are generally discouraged from talking about those subjects, it can lead to confrontations), or when you go to vote. Otherwise, it's a harmless detail in our lives. On a side note, it is worth noting that George Washington was opposed to the creation of political parties, because he felt it would divide the country.

The hatred serves as a distraction for those in control of the people we supposedly elect who are neither. Political labels serve only to divide and conquer the public free will with a never ending supply of propaganda that confuses all the issues and keeps everyone guessing, pitting neighbour against neighbour.
At the end of the day you can call yourself whatever you like but if you are not in control then you are being controlled.

Ask the persons indoors the adotion area. some human beings sense as though they'd have have been given a distinctive existence with distinctive mom and pa had they been aborted. That sounds ironic pondering the certainty that it fairly is strictly what adoption did, yet their is apartently alot of soreness between those relinquished with the help of ability of their start up mom and pa. Seirously, ask questions or a minimum of bypass to the adotion area, you will get an rather distinctive perspecive on childbirth.

"Man is by nature a political animal"
With politics inherent to our being, it matters greatly how one defines themselves politically; of course, the political labels we use for ourselves don't matter on the grand scale. I don't necessarily agree that all people want the same thing, however, I will agree that political hatred is unnecessary. Political hatred only gets in the way of intelligent dialog.

It doens't really matter at the end of the day. In the end since we've lost all respect for rule of law we'll end up Socialist or Theocratic our constitution wallpaper. As for the back and forth bashing it's just plain stupid.

Excellent question. I don't get it either. There's a level of anger and hatred out there that simply makes no sense. There are these caricatures of conservatives and liberals that are used to describe all the members of both groups and they simply don't apply. And where does all the hate eventually lead....

Hi Loubean,I do believe it matters, but only in the sense that all parties whether Demorcrats,Republicans,Green,or whatever party one is affliated with, one has certain guide lines for that one said party which in itself makes a differents in ones believes. However there are always some issues that all parties can agree on.

Yes, it matters. The reason is simple for me; taxes. Now that more than 50% of what I make is taken away, I'm angry, because I feel like a slave.
Thus, my hatred will shine through until someone in power does something about it.
Now that I'm a slave, frankly I don't care who dies or gets killed, who gets robbed, who gets the short end of the stick . . . I'm basically anti-everyone at this point.

When it comes to foreign policy, I think we're all Americans. Domestically, there are differences as to what we want.
However, I do agree that there is far too much hatred between the political parties.

I am a Libertarian, but I'm willing to vote for Democrats or Republicans, so long as they're not too anti-freedom, of course.
