This term is used mainly in Ads. for 'Trash Dumpsters & Waste Containers'. The capital'D' is used only as headlines & in titles / in Brand names to attract Attention. But in the details, we see small 'd' for 'dumpster is used.This is common knowledge.
Dumpster is used in the Dictionaries too. They mean
1.SKIP
2. A large metal container in which garbage is disposed ( from 'dump') -- A large Trash Receptacle (eg. Roll off Dumpsters) dumpster diving & scavenging
3. A slang for ugly woman who dresses provocatively to attract men
4. A s*lut
Dupster is used to mean:
1.To reclaim items that others wish to dispose of
2. eating whole pizza, box of cereal or loaf of bread.
So, Dumpster is in use with both the Capital 'D' & Small 'd'!

There shouldn't be a capital "D" on the word "dumpster", unless it's at the beginning of a sentence or if it's part of the name of a company (like "Donovan's Dumpsters").

Those who aren't capitalizing it should as it is a proper noun--Dumpster is a name brand.

It's a brand name. Dipsey Dumpster.
The generic term is "garbage bin" or "RORO bin" (for Roll On Roll Off).
