There is no recession. You should probably go back to school and learn what a recession is.

It will take us at least 30 years before we get out of it. When Eisenhower went into Vietnam in the 1950's, before Kennedy went into office, the "bay of pigs" came about [Russia had subs with missiles pointing toward the US] Kennedy was against Russia putting Missiles into Cuba, to fight against the US. So Kennedy put a bunch of ships out there to let them know that they will blow the subs out of the water unless they got the missiles out of Cuba, this told them to pull it out & they did, after that came the Vietnam conflict, following that we were trying to keep everything afloat, trying to keep the missiles where they should be, the soldiers where they should be. Don't forget the deficiet is currently trillions of dollars in debt; all of our manufacturing jobs are going overseas. The airlines want the attendants to take a cut, everyone is cutting back, but our basic necessities are being inflated: gas, housing interest rates, food. If your well to do it doesn't bother you, as the Republicans are only for the rich. The corporations are trying to steal from the pension funds and have been ordered to put it back; as they were spending that money and putting it into their corporations overseas, and making a profit from that. NOTHING good ever comes out of GREED. The President has been plucking into the SSI fund, saying it is a "general" fund. Then telling the people it will go broke by 2018. What an a-shole wipe. (When we pay into the social security system every day that we work). This sucks if someone has to depend on a permanent disability check from SSI. Not one of our politicians ever has to pay into SSI, & continues to receive his salary after retirement! Naturally they aren't going to ever volunteer to pay into it! Our government thinks the people of America are dumb. This global economy will take 30 years to turn around, when companies start moving back; it is not a level playing field. The average working person will need to work 2 or more jobs to make ends meet. Until then thing will continue to get worse. That's what you get for having a Republican in office; it hurts the working class. When your neighbor is out of work it is called a recession, when it is you that's out of work it's called a depression. Here is some great reading for you. I'm not sure of the truth to this, God forbid, but it sure will give YOU something to think about. Write this weblink down, as you will probably want to go back as there many links on this site to read, & do pass it on, it's scary. Does Anyone really Care is food for thought. THIS might be how we will get out of this catastrophic condition. Will be be led like sheep to slaughter? United we stand, divided we fall. http://www.alternativescentral.com/healthcrusade.htm

The economy started to slow down before he took office. There were warnings back in 2000 before the elections took place that a recession could happen. Anyone who has paid attention in school should know that the US economy has had up and down cycles pretty much since the US was a country. Blaming the president is just plain ignorant.

Bush did not create the recession. (I dislike Bush as much as the next guy, but facts are facts.) It's created by the business cycle, which is in turn created by our current banking system. We need to get rid of the Federal Reserve and return to a gold (or silver) standard if we want to see true prosperity among all classes of citizens.

The first step will be in electing a fiscally-responsible Democratic Congressional majority this Fall followed by the election of a Democratic president in 2008. Its only going to get worse before it gets better.

We will probably never be able to pay down our national debt. For the love of money he's selling us out to other countries, especially the Arab nations.

Gold Standard is needed again.

The debt is out of control.

We owe China ONE TRILLION DOLLARS.

Imagine if they wanted to collect on that tomorrow.

Goodbye USA. Expect that to happen about 4 weeks before WW3.

Jack, Bill Clinton did it, he made it happen so I have little doubt but under democratic leadership that we can save the U.S. from sinking any farther. And perhaps we can right the ship and sail it as we did during the Clinton years.
