okay, so my school is hosting a "halloween costume party" that is kinda like a dance. i want to wear one of those costumes with the rainbow stockings and colorful mini-(but still appriate for school) dress. Then they have a bow in their hair and a star near their eye. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A PICTURE OF AN APPROPRIATE VERSION OF THIS COSTUME OR WHAT THEY ARE CALLED?

yes i have looked in local stuff and i found this it kinda looks like it but i want it to be-you know-more appropriate. It was like some Halloween Spirit thing or something...they called it a Stardust Doll

It sounds a lot like "Rainbow Brite" that is how I googled it and it took me to the Wikipedia site, but it didn't have a good picture there was a link www.rainbowbrite.com that did have a picture and also a picture of a girl wearing a costume. You could look in pattern books, Simplicity,Mccalls, or Butterwick but this doll was out in the 80's I am not sure if they have them anymore. You need to look at the pictures and find something close that you can revamp into the look you want.

Look in the pattern books under childrens characters or costumes. You might still find that particualr one?
Google rainbow bright costumes... I can't post what pops up for you... you have to do that yourself! Especially since I have NO idea how old you are.

Is this Rainbow Bright? I think it's a cartoon character from the 1980s. Do a google search.

ok heres what you need to do......You need a yellow , red ,and blue striped shirt.You also need a skirt with a bib style front to it you know the kind like the farmers ware(overalls). you can get an aplicay of a shooting star with colors shooting out of it. Or just paint a star on the front with fabric paints and then paint the rainbow shooting out of it. You will also need a pair of moon boots with rainbow colored stripes going up the leg of it or you can just find a pair of rainbow colored leg warmers with a pair of white sneekers. Blonde wig if you don't have already and pull into pig tails . with rainbow colored ribbons.Good luck!

rainbow bright is the chicks name....If I remember correctly her skirt was an a-line skirt that fell just above her knees. Good Luck!
