I've chatted with people on all of these support sites, that sit at their computers all day, chatting with people answering questions.
Now, if you're talking about sitting at home on YM, Live, ICQ, AIM, etc, probably only if you're selling sex shows. Not a great idea.
And obviously there are plenty of people selling "live shows" through Ifriends, and 100's of other sites, but again, I don't think that's a great idea.
If you have an area of specialized knowlege, people might be willing to pay to chat with you, to learn from you.
That's all the thoughts that cross my mind for now.
