I agree with Bill & thought this was a trick question. Zero paralyzed individuals can do the research if paralyzed from the neck down. Of course, if only below the wast is affected, the number changes.

Any paralyzed person would want to look into all possibilities--however remote. That's human nature, and as we have seen in the news, paralyzed folks are often amazingly motivated, positive and willing to try any new technique--even if only to help those in the future.

Saw news bit on TV of parlayed rat having leg movement restored. Don't know how much hype was involved, but do know they are knocking on the door. Don't want to get morobit, but with all the serious injuries coming out of Iraq the government will be investing ton of money to find solution. Stay as fit as you can because it all can't be hype and the day will be coming soon. Best of luck.

If you are quadriplegic, the chance that you will be doing any kind of research at all is slim....unless you do it with your teeth.
