My all time favourit is the great Viv Richards then comes the great Wasim Akram !
From Sri Lanka - where i am from - it is the great Aravinda De Silva.
As for you - it may be Lara and Sachin (the most popular choices)
If not, Dravid, Pathan, Dhoni from India / Bravo, Hinds from Windies !

Cricket is religion in India and the GOD is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. He is my best cricketer
Why?.....well just look at his illustrious carrer spanning 16 long years, the most consistent batsman in one day internationals with over 14 thousand runs,over hundred one day international wickets.
Respected all over the cricketing fraternity not only for his cricketing skills but also for the way he has carried himself all these years, he has never disagreed with or shown frustration with umpiring decisions, even when he was given out controversialy.
The match fixing scandal that rocked Indian Cricket and ended the careers of M.Azzharuddin, A.Jadeja and N.Mongia, Sachin came out unscathed and clean.
He is considered as a symbol of the rising middle class in India. Where he has been a role model and has strengthened the belief that nothing is impossible with hard work, dedication and most of all moral values. His is also liked by Lata Mangeshkar(the Nightingale of India).

Sanath Jayasuriya for me obviously for winning a worldcup for us and his stylish batting...(I loves to watch his game even he dont score and stayz in the wicket..the way he cut & pull is something extraordinary...even itz looks pretty nice to see his action once he got out)
For W.I. i would say itz Viv. Richards (Won a world cup for WI)
For In - Kapil Dev (Won a world cup and he is a great man)
