Probably nothing is wrong. It would be hard to place an exact date on when you might start. Trust me, it will come soon enough. Just be prepared when you head back to school, so you have the right necessities and you are not caught off-guard.

I really don't think you should be worrying about this at all hun. Every girl is different, I have friends who didn't start their periods until 18, one was 19! All the signs... if you mean hormonal, sore boobs, etc. these are all part of puberty and all come at their own time and in no predictable order, it'll come in it's own time and you don't need a period to feel like you're growing up. You'll have it for a very long time so enjoy your life without having to worry about a period every month lol!!!
If you are worried though, go back to your doctor and he'll reassure you.

Every body matures at different rates. Unless you have had hormone levels in your blood checked, it is very difficult to pinpoint exactly when you will have your first period. There are many factors to consider, age, heredity, nutritional status, weight, etc. If you are very thin, small framed or very athletic, you may start menarche later than some of your friends or female relatives who may be heavier. For example, both my sister and I celebrated our womanhood at the age of 12. However, my oldest daughter and my younger sister didn't start until they were both 18. Both of them were very thin and small framed, and the doctor told them that although they had all the signs and everything was normal, their menses would not start until thier weight reached at least 100 pounds. My youngest daughter, on the other hand, as well as my niece, started their periods at age 10 and 9, respectively, and both of them are over 115. Don't stress yourself, honey, when your body is ready, mother nature will take care of everything.

Well, it's about time now for you to learn that anxiety can affect your menstrual cycle.
You must relax, go about your routines and think about other things and it will happen.
What's the rush? When it finally happens, it will then happen every month for at least the next 30 years, whether you want it or not. At least 30 years.
Calm down and let up on pressuring yourself; it will happen. Nothing is wrong.

You'll start when it's time and no doctor is going to make it happen by saying it should. Every girl is different, my best friend in h/s had hers when she was 9, but I was almost 14 so just be patient, you're body may not be ready yet.

How active are you? Are you an athlete? Not knowing your age or your physical condition it is hard to predict. If you feel as though you have the signs; start wearing a shield. Don't worry, it will happen when it happens. Don't be in a hurry! Minerva

Doctor most likely gave you his best guess. It's kinda difficult to pinpoint when a girl will get her period for the first time.

You don't state your age. Every girl gets her period when her body is ready. I didn't get mine until I was nearly 15.5 years old. My sister started at age 11. We're all different. Trust me, once you do start you'll wish you didn't have it. Stress can delay it so try not to worry about it so much.
