In one way or another you can be sure you are paying for it. if it doesn't appear somewhere as a specific charge, you can be sure the cost of it is considered in the overall cost you pay to study at that school.

In a nutshell, some schools have basic fees that include an internet connection cost, others make you pay for it by room, others dont offer it at all. Some make you set up an account that you pay for when you use it...it all depends. Talk to someone on the campus you are talking about, and they will let you know.

I attend the University of Texas at Brownsville and I do not have to pay for internet on campus. I have attended other schools also, that you do not have to pay for internet. Most universitys today have wireless internet on campus that is free and computer labs, but, when they charge you for your tuition, they add extra fees, it might be included there.

When I attended college last year, we had a fee for the highspeed Internet. It was about $49 a semester.

If you attend the University of Phoenix its FREE since they have open access wireless internet.
It depends on the university you attend. My suggestion is to check into the university you have plans on going to and ask if they have open access wireless internet access and if its available throughout the entire campus and dorms or just in designated areas, and if so where.
Good luck!

It depends on the college or university; my experience was that the internet service was "free."
