Sympathy and support from some countries. Joy and elation in others. After 9/11 people were seen dancing in the streets of Syria, Afghanistan and Iran. I submit to you that whatever the US may or may not have done to deserve the enmity of the Muslim world we would never dance with joy after killing innocent civilians.

I'm afraid that most of us Americans don't realize how lucky we are. Yes, 9-11 was horrible, but have you noticed that nothing else has happened on American soil since then? Imagine, for a moment, a group of radical Muslims in New York, or Los Angeles, or Memphis, or anywhere in this country suddenly unleashing an endless string of car bombs and suicide bombers. It is very possible. That's why we're in the middle east trying to stomp it out.

No. I think many nations and peoples would cheer for such an event, not necessarily because they are heartless, but because they are misinformed by regimes with antipathy to the US. In addition, some may see the attacks as an opportunity to push their own agendas and while given lip service sympathy, they would really relish the chance to manipulate our nation's will.

I do think it would generate sympathy, but less than 9/11. Some would react less due to the fact that it has happened before, and others would see lapses in US security as follish oversights by our nation and give us more pity than sympathy.

It makes me sick to think that people in other countries danced in the streets when the United States had the 9/11 incident. With the exception of Canada, United Kingdom and Mexico. It's interesting though when their the ones getting attacked then all the sudden everyone loves us and wants our help! MOSTLY OUR MONEY! Which makes the majority of our country pretty pissed. I say we quit sending aid and among most things OUR MONEY to other countries who wish bad things on us! THE HELL WITH THEM! Then they will really be sorry.

I don't think that they danced. We all suffered too, we may not live in New York but a lot of our families do. Didn't you see the recordings of people around the world in shock. Anyway why does every time America needs to know that not everyone is inhuman?

If terrorists blew up a Walmart or a 7-11 or even a gas station, it would be reported around the world.

nope America attacks and kills a lot or people you invaded Iraq for no apparent reason, which is what we expect off the USA, but you made a disaster of it Iraq is worse off than before, Afghanistan isn't much better. you bombed Serbia back to the stone age.
France did not want to join you in an illegal attack and you insult them, yet if France insisted that you invade a country because they are you wouldnt do it.
all in all your a disaster that kills a lot of people , seems like you are just getting what you deserve

assuming it would be islamists again, it would end the west's patience with that faith, and we'd finally admit to ourselves that the real enemy is islam itself.

It would be tough for the west, with all of our "tolerance" of different religions, but, reality is reality...
