OMG yes I have heard that and did you just bring back a memory.
I once heard my mama say something to the effect,
She's out scooty pootin around.
I am from NC, but haven't heard that one in a long, long time.

I have heard of something very similar it was called "The scooty momo". This is what I called it when my dog would use the carpet floor to wipe his booty. He would get in the sit position and drag his booty on the carpet and it looked like he was spinning in circles. This is the name I thought of. San Antonio, Texas.
