My tat on my shoulder is starting to get itchy bumps. I dont know if it has something to do with that fact that its a cover up of a home tat, or if its the pro ink I had done over it . I have home tats and pro tats on my back and Im not having a problem with them . They are not cover ups .

Talk to your dr. This should be looked at as soon as possible.

My allergist said that allergies change every ten years, so YES, it is very possible that it's an allergic reaction. It's also possible that it's a chemical reaction of the two mixed ink types.

it could be ink posioning. Go see a doctor. Im serious! Yes you could be allergic to it, or it possibly was a different kind of ink or formula used. You can eat an apple every day for yourentire life and then one morning wake upand be allergic to it. It happens.

I don't think your body is rejecting the ink, but for some reason after a number of years, some tattoos tend to keloid. You know they puff up. I have no idea why, but I think it's normal.

anything is possible, but I would ask the guy who gave you that tattoo, or a doctor so you get a really specific answer, that you can trust.
