Australia is 90 percent white, 7 percent Asian and 2-3 percent Aboriginal...
most white Australians alive today are descended from
1 free white settlers who arrived in the post-1850 goldrush years
2. non-English Europeans who arrived after the world wars
3. 75 percent of the people have some British antecendent.
All Australia- especially Anglo Celtic Aussies- owes a huge debt to the convict colonists who made a tough country livable...the Aussie accent is believed to have originated from saying a word through the smallest mouth openings possible (so as to avoid blowflies....)

That's something you just have to experience "first-hand". Australians are not just caucasians and natives, people from all over the world have settled there. What "facts" are you interested in though?

Well, they talk funny and are upside down and celebrate Christmas in the summer and like this awful yeast paste called Vegemite. Other than that, they're just these guys, you know?
