All crimes. On the back of the pilot's license it says "Immune from all prosecution." So a pilot can commit any crime without fear of prosecution.

Yes, they are. I know what t_raudenbush is talking about because I saw a dramatization of that particular story on TV as t_raudenbush mentions. The pilot ended up going to federal prison for a very long time. I believe that name of the show that this particular story was featured on was either 'Air Emergency' or 'Seconds From Disaster' on the National Geographic Channel.

Yes. There's one case where a pilot tries to hijack a plane over Tennessee. He's now serving life in prison.
