I bought a dvd television series from china that is brand new but when I put it in my dvd player it plays only the first episode and then for the others it messes up and there are no scratches or anything how do I get it to stop messing up?

You can get it to stop messing up by not purchasing counterfeit crap made in China.

You need to get a non region DVD player. Basically, this will play DVDs with all regions on it. Each DVD made has a region 'code' on it. This is because the people who made DVDs were dumb*sses who believed that moving from one country to another with DVDs was a great idea... for them to make more money.

the only thing i can think of to do other than buying a region-free player is to get dvddecrypter and see if you can dump the disk into a folder ... if successful then check it out on a software player on the pc ...it will be region free now... then reencode it if its good using dvd shrink and then burn it back to another disk ... if for some reason the format is wrong on the disk then try ripping the individual episodes out ... reencode them one at a time and then author them back to a new disk.

YOu show it to a good shop where they can check and find out the problem....
