Depending on your boyfriend's age, what about collectors cards , old framed collectors' prints or other memorabilia. There are some really neat wall items to be found in antique shops with the great outdoors logo.

damn sounds like me... baseball tickets are always a great gift... if he likes the local team just get a couple good seats(good means on the first base line and above dugout) may cost a bit but they are worth it., but if he doesn't like the local team check the schedule of the local and buy tickets for whenever his team is playing the local team
