I've always used paypal, but if the seller is reputable, a money order is fine. Check the seller's rating and comments and make sure there are no complaints like "Hey! Where's my stuff??!??" Also, send the money order via cerified mail so that the seller has to sign for it.
If the seller doesn't send you your DVD, then yes, you'll be able to get your money back, but it would get complicated. However, I doubt whomever you bought the DVD from is going to risk being banned from eBay and face legal actions for just a DVD.
Good luck!

I only send money orders and have had no problem. Take a copy of the money order before you send it. When you send it ask the seller to let you know that he has received the money order (if more than a week send a friendly inquiry to him). Give the package 10 days to reach you. If not email him back and find out how the package was shipped. I have purchased a few things and have had no problems with the sellers. I have found them great.

Same here -- I always use PayPal -- the seller doesn't get your bank information, and the transaction is guaranteed by PayPal. If the seller doesn't send you the item, you can always get your money back, rather than hoping the seller returns your check or money order.
I don't think I've ever paid for anything by check on eBay, and I've spent a lot of money there.

I have used paypal, money orders, and personal checks when buying from ebay. Check the return policy of the individual seller. It should be listed. If not, contact the seller. Next time find out before you buy. The safest way to buy is using paypal. It uses your credit card. But credit card purchases can be disputed thru the credit card company.

Set up a free Paypal account thru Ebay [there are links on the site to do so]!!! My friend did this w. Chanel earrings [the money order thing] & has never recieved them!!! Paypal is 100% guaranteed safe. Nothing ever happens w. it. Also, make sure you buy from sellers w. high satisfaction ratings .. they won't rip you off in order to keep their rep.! Good luck =]

as quickly as you purchase from a stunning broking provider, you're fairly plenty particular of having a great motorized motor vehicle. it relatively is the guy sellers who use undesirable photos, do now no longer describe the vehicle suitable, etc. ascertain their eBay comments, ascertain for liens on the motorized motor vehicle, accident historic previous, etc. Getting it shipped to the U. S. Virgin Islands? Sounds severe priced. The dealership could probably now no longer comprehend a thank you to try this, so which you will in all threat ought to opt to organize the freight your self.

I've done it for little things, but no high-price ticket items-- everyone I've sent M.Os to always came through.

I agree-Paypal gives you buyer protection if the seller doesn't follow through.
