Yes. I had it with my first pregnancy. For some reason it only affected me at night? I am pregnant with my second child now (35 weeks) and did not have the metal taste this time.

Yes, its from the increase of pregnancy hormones. When i was 4-5 weeks pregnant I had that and accompanied by severe migraines at night only. It only lasted for a few weeks though. Ofcourse, everyone is different and experiences may not be the same for another pregnant woman. All I know now, is at 17 weeks I feel great! Whew! No more ickiness, just hunger and a kicking baby!!!:P

I've heard of that. One thing that adds to the metal taste is iron pills for women who end up being anemic during pregnancy.

It's true for some women, can't remember what it is called but I believe the cure is folic acid, found in prenatal vitamins.
