You will always miss them, who ever they are.
When i was younger, i had an uncle that was always there for me, would listen to every problem i ever had, help me with every decision i was unsure of, give me confidence if mine was low, he was honestly one of the most amazing human i have ever known.
2 years ago, i woke up to what i thought was my uncle telling me that i hadnt locked the front door properly..realised i was dreaming but checked anyway! looked in the dining room and on the computer it said 'download complete', i checked it and there was 3 different copies of 'a bridge over troubled water' but no one had downloaded it?! I was saying to my mum about it the next day, and apparently it was my aunty & uncles song, they had when they got married etc...how creepy!!
Its good to know that hes still here though!!
The pain from him dying is still there as fresh as the day he died, but i feel it doesnt hurt as much now i think of him as still being around!

Yes. My mom died 7 years ago and I think of her nearly every day. I had a good friend who was murdered almost 27 yrs. ago and I still think about her and what it would have been like had she lived. And of course pets I've had over my life pop into my head every now and then. It's natural to think of those who're gone. You never really forget them, but the pain of losing them does lessen somewhat over time.

Not exactly the same but 2 weeks after I was born my long term companion was born, he was a border collie cross. Then he died at the grand old age of sixteen, and I still get flashes of him every now and again.

My mom has been dead over 20 years and my dad over 10. I still miss them both every single day of my life.

I still miss the ones who are gone, but time takes its toll and although I still love them dearly, I miss them in a different way. I like talking to my Grandad and my uncle in my thoughts and can feel them smiling to me from the skies.

You never forget. I lost my mom and dad. Certain things remind me of them like seasons, places, scents. When I met my future mother-in-law for the first time, she was wearing my mom's favorite perfume, Emeraude. I almost started to cry. I hadn't smelled it in five years. My mom's memory flooded me. I was completely overwhelmed.

ya. I used have a dog. Man he was the best. But he was as mean as hell! i mean you had to lock him up before you answere the door cause would have jumped on them in a snap. and one day my sister had this lady that took her to school. She didn't lock him up and wham! He was on her. He dragged her all over the yard. (this was during winter). And broke her glasses and everything. She had to get stitches. We had to put him asleep...
