Hi, Im a student in the field of cosmetology,

Nothing can really make your hair grow longer. Ive looked. But there are things you can do to help it.

One thing is that if you straighten or use irons on your hair, like myself, deep condition your hair ALOT! I do it two to three times a week! Even if you dont have a deep conditioner you can use regular conditioner on your hair for an hour or more, this also works nicely. My hair became really strong after this.

Vitamins help too! Take a multivitamin and a vitamin B-complex.

Do not color your hair alot! It weakens your hair causing it to snap off. If you do need to though, dont forget to condition, condition, condition!!! Dont forget bleaching! That is one of the worste things you could do!!

Cutting your hair doesnt make it grow faster!!! All that does is remove the split ends.

Massage your scalp regularly, this helps with growth!! It helps circulate blood flow in the scalp, with premotes hair growth.

Hope this information was helpful :)

You can try vitamin b12 supplements, and allowing your noggin to be out in the sunshine, as sun and heat slightly increase the rate of growth. Any difference will be minimal, however. You're just going to have to be patient.

Help out the hair that is growing by using a good shampoo and conditioner, minimizing hairdryers and other heat appliances (it's under the skin where hair grows, once it's out of your head, it's dead, so heat from styling doesn't count like heat from the sun in making hair grow) and keep your hands out of it as much as possible so you don't break any of the strands.

Treating your hair better can get it to grow faster and better. Just remember to:
1. Not blow dry too much and let it dry natrually-blow drying damages hair
2. when you wash your hair and it's wet, don't brush it- hair is most vulnerable to damage when wet
3. Always use conditioner and shampoo-shampoo opens the cuticle and conditioner closes it
4. and always ALWAYS use a good conditioner and shampoo-bad generic brands can sometimes be bad for you hair
5. when you blow dry your hair, finish drying the last few minutes on the cool setting-it helps make you hair shinner.

I've always had very long hair & it grows really fast. Just had 17" cut off last month. My grandma says it's because I eat too much protien.

When you wash your hair, try to message your scalp for few minutes extra and also do deep conditioning treatment once a week.
