I think women who pursue other women's husbands do so to achieve some sense of power. Usually they don't have any other way to elevate themselves so they use their sexually to validate themselves.

I worked as an electronic tech in a factory. I had a cousin who also worked as a tech. Her husband at one time had emotional problems which precluded working, so he stayed home and took care of the kids.

She said when he took the kids with him to the laundromat to wash clothes, other women who came in there would try to hit on him.,

I was confused, and said, "Why would they hit on a man with kids with him? Couldn't they tell he was married?"

She said, "Oh, that's easy. He was domesticated, with taking care of kids and doing the laundry, so they figured he'd make a good husband."

Sigh!

It's the thrill of the chase. Someone they can't have seems more enticing to them... but the problem with that is, once they get them, it will lose it's appeal and they'll eventually get sick of them.
