Red pandas live in and around China, in the Himalayas. They eat mainly bamboo. They look a lot like red racoons. This site should tell you all you want to know:

The Red Panda does little more than eat and sleep due to its low-calorie diet.
It sounds alot like me lately. Except for the low-calorie part.

They live in Malaysia, they're herbivores, they live in trees and they are not bears :) They're related to raccoons, just like the Giant Panda in China
