Oh, you must like Sgt. Pepper! That's an incredible album. I can't pick out one favorite Beatles song, but I can tell you my favorite album: Sgt. Pepper. The production is great. Much better then Revolver. But I'm very familiar with all their songs and love their other albums too.

Come Together is perhaps the best beatles song. John Lennon's music and writing is perhaps the most compelling with in the Beatles, with such songs as all you need is love, and strawberry fields forever, and Revolution, however Come Together is in my opinion the best Beatles song, because it merges the talents of Lennon's song writing prowless and McCartney's musical ablity. Come together provided a message of Unity (despite that it was written to get back at Paul and George over issues with Yoko). However the Music the Beatles made over their 10 years and the 2 years from 94-96 are all great, so i hope you listen to them all instead of the ones that are constantly in the spot light, I recommend such songs as Piggies, Black Bird, and Why don't we do it in the road.

I like "A Day In The Life" also. The Beatles are genius and combining 2 songs that are so different to make such a great song is amazing and that last note takes my breath away. I also love "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Good Day Sunshine". So hard to choose the best song from the best band ever.

Too many to name just one song.
However some of those quoted are among my favourites - some aren`t strictly Beatles songs for a few reasons :-
1.Some aren`t written BY them
2.Some came out long after The Beatles split and are solo efforts.
At least no-one quoted The Frog Chorus LOL.

It is interesting that 2 songs are mine and most peoples' favorites, "A Day in the Life" and "In My Life". Both were written by John Lennon. I still remember the day December 8th 1980, "When I heard the news, Oh Boy."

Man, that's difficult to say!
"Something in the Way She Moves"
"The Long and Winding Road"
"Across the Universe"
"Let It Be"
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
so-o-o-ooooo many beautiful songs, ballads, rockers, and all the many styles and periods of their musical evolution, from the most whimsical to the heaviest...like Bungalow Bill and Helter-Skelter...from little love songs like Michelle to the mind-blowing Day In The Life...

It's really hard to chose but I'll go with I am the walrus!
And to Turbothruster, if "she loves you yeah yeah yeah" is the only song you know from the beatles then maybe you should give it one more chance!
No wonder why it's been (and still is) so popular! ;)
Listen to the vocals, it's so great!!
Try listening to the white album or Abbey Road!

Difficult one - I like "Money" as both Lennon and McCartney are both on ferocious vocal form.
Norwegian Wood is beautiful and evocative; Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds sums up its era as does the whole of Sgt. Pepper.
A Day in the Life / Revolution No 9 just about edge the others out.
