It takes about 3 hours, depending on the border crossing to get to Vancouver, B.C. I just drove it about 2 weeks ago. There are the outlet malls in Marysville. There's not much else for casual shopping.

For a faster border crossing, take the crossing at Sumas (look at a map to find it). It generally only has a back-up of about 5 or 6 cars, as opposed to the Peace Arch at Blaine which can take several hours, depending on the time of day, etc.

If you mean Vancouver, WA, that also takes about 3 hours. There are outlet malls in Centralia.

Have a fun trip.

Well it all depends on how long the wait is to cross the border. When we've crossed it's been a pretty short wait and it was about an hour and a half to two hour drive if memory serves me correctly. Both Vancouver and Seattle have a ton of stuff to do, but in between there isn't much.

Which Vancouver?

Seattle to Vancouver, WA is about three hours, more in heavy traffic.

Seattle to Vancouver, BC is about two hours, not counting time at the border, which varies from a few minutes to a couple hours depending on time and day, and which border station you go through.

Use Yahoo maps or something similar to plot you a route between the 2 cities. It will give you driving time. AAA or CAA will give you points of interest if you can't get it from the State of Washington tourist office. Remember to have 2 pieces of photo ID showing your nationality to get back into the USA, Canada may also ask for them.

You don't say if you are referring to Vancouver, WA which is about 3 hours south of Seattle.
Or if your referring to Vancouver, Canada/

If Seattle, WA. there are a number of great road side stand to buy fresh fruits & vegatables. Plus a couple of actual farms markets, depending on day of week you travel.
