What do the racing stripes on a sports car mean? What I mean is, what do the colors, number of stripes, and width etc. mean?
Or do they not mean anything at all?

I've seen cars with two thick stripes and other cars with a total of four stripes (two thick ones and one very thin line next to each of the thick lines)

I'm not talking about lines on the road but the stripes on the car itself.

They were something that one of Carrol Shelby's designers, Peter Brock, came up with in the '50s or '60s. They are just decorations, although having the stripes run down the hood do give you a useful reference point to judge how the car is moving.

Racing strips were used, so the drive could steer the car in a straight line during the race. Numbers on the car lets the officials know (and spectators) who is driving that particular car. Especially if the race involves the same make and model of the car.

The line you are referring to have nothing to do with anything and are nothing more than decorative.

How about racing stripes on women. I love it when a girl does that. Very hot. Especially on a milf.
