Painful, dripping, oozing, reddened, hot-to-the-touch, fattened earlobes; these are signs that trouble is brewing!
Go to the doctor and get an oral-antibiotic.
Also, clean the infected lobe(s) with an antibacteril hand-soap, like DIAL.
Afterwards, apply a layer of Neosporin to the infected area.
Consult your doctor for ways to keep the hole open so he won't have to re-pierce your ear!

first if they are infected..DO NOT REMOVE THE JEWELRY, also dont put neosporin on it? (common sense-read the package, not for puncture wounds=piercing=puncture). redness (which could just be irritation) but also warm and shiny and swollen. tea tree oil is a wonderful antiseptic, it can soak into the tissue and fight an infection so instead of alcohol and peroxide (which will dry out a piercing) use this, also try doing sea salt soaks 1/4tsp to 8oz water 2x a day for 10min. this will help get blood flow to the infection and help it drain.

When you put on earrings and your ears are becoming red, it hurts.

if you have to ask, you probably have an infection. Take them out, let them heal, then start over.
