No - because if it could, we'd see people from the future here with us today.

No, I don't think so because in order to go backward in time, you would have to travel at warp speed like the science fiction show Star Trek people do. According to laws about the speed of light, nothing that has mass can exceed that speed which is about 186,000 miles per second. Anything that has a mass can approach the speed of light, but not quite get there. If you were traveling at the speed of light in a straight line, you would gain about 12 seconds of life for every 100 earth years, and upon your return, everyone you knew would have died many years ago, but to you, it would seem like you just left earth for a few seconds. You would have to travel faster than light for time to go backwards.

On the show Dr. Who, they have a box that they get in and go back and forth in time.

The scientists have done one thing that you see in Star Trek. They have transported a molecule of a substance from one place to another in a lab, but as far as transporting humans like on Star Trek. It would work in theory, but they probably will never accomplish that feat.or at least, it would be hundreds or thousands of years in the future and traveling faster than the speed of light is not possible if the person or thing traveling has mass.

Now, take the neutrino which doesn't have any mass whatsoever to speak of. When it is formed, it instantly goes from zero miles per second up to 186,000 miles per second; more like 186,239 and then some miles per second, and when it decays in trillionths of a second, it is instantly going Zero miles per second. If you had a wall of steel stretching from here to the sun and you released a neutrino at the bottom of it, the chances are that it would not hit even an atom in the 93,000,000 miles to the sun.

According to Theoretical Physicists such as Stephen Hawking, it is possible to enter a worm hole and come out far ahead of where you entered, but nobody has ever observed such a thing happening. Maybe in the future, they will. If you believe in multitudes of parallel universes, you could, theoretically travel between universes almost instantly.

Time can be conquered if we could invent a warp drive and go Warp 7 or Warp 8 or more. Then yes, you could travel the space-time continuum in either direction almost instantly, but don't count on this ever happening.

No. If we were able to build a time machine, someone from the future would have come back by now.

According to the NOVA video "The Elegant Universe" you could only go forward, or backward. But not both. If it ever got invented.
My bet is no. Still cool to use your imagination though.

It already has been, and the machine is us!! We are the creators of our own perception therefore we create our own time. The problem is... How do we stop thinking in linear time sequence?

well acording to einstien you can only go in2 the past because the future hasnt happened yet. so if we do invent one we would never know if it worked because they cant come back. because at the time where they go the future hasnt happened yet.

Time is an illusion generated by our feeble little minds to try to make sense of the universe.

Probably not. We'd be flooded with tourists from the future if that were the case and that hasn't happened.
