Thank You For Being A Friend" was a #25 hit for Andrew Gold in 1978. The song later got life as the theme song to The Golden Girls in a version by Cindy Fee. The original version of the song is featured in the Playstation 2 videogame commercial of Ratchet: Deadlocked, and is used as the theme song for the Oakland Athletics. "Thank You For Being A Friend" is played at the conclusion of each Oakland Athletics home game.
