You'd have to ask local health department. More often than not, it doesn't even matter if it's LEGAL, what matters is the store policy which would certainly tell them to wear gloves. At a Pizza Hut once I saw the guy put my pizza in the box, and touch the pizza, and then go and help someone at the register. Okay, you're wearing gloves, but what's dirtier than money?! Might as well not even wear them if you're going to do that!!!! I didn't eat the pizza, and haven't been back since.

I have never been anyplace where it was the law to wear rubber gloves. I have never been to Mn. I would not want the person fixing my food to wear rubber gloves because once someone puts rubber gloves on the don't take them off till they have to. At least without gloves they wash their hands a lot more often.

Here in Kent County Michigan it is against code to make sandwiches without gloves on, certain foods can be made without gloves as long as you are not directly touching the item.

Depends entirely on state and local laws! For example, by law, Orange County, CA., DOES NOT require gloves. A good sandwich show WILL REQUIRE employees to wear them. You should demand it!

It depends on the state's/county's/city's laws and the restaurant's preferences. Everyone handling food and money should wear gloves though because they are dirty and germy.

People are such freakin' wimps today. You know 50 years ago that type of technology was not even available and people were just fine. Get over it.
