You don't really have to do much but put a group of male and females together and keep up on your tank maintenance. I believe a good ratio is 1 male to two females. This cuts down on stress the females endurs from the males. When the female is pregnant, you can put her in a breeder net when the time comes close for the babies to be born and then release her in the tank. If you want to try to keep all or most of the fry, i suggest setting up a second tank for them.

You don't have to MAKE them mate, just put a male and a female in the same tank.

The next question is how do you make them STOP?

Get some fine leafed plants for the babies to hide in, then you will have more guppies than you know what to do with...

We have guppies and they are always popping out babies...but then they tend to eat them...We put our preggie moms ( you'll know their preggie--they get real fat) into a little plastic box (you can get at most any pet store) and it seperates the babies from the moms as they're born. We let the mom back in the tank and keep the babies in their box till their to big to be eaten... our guppies have always popped out babies under any circumstances...are you sure you got males and females??? LOL Good luck!

You don't have to do anything. They are prolific breeders. Just put them together in a group and you will have baby guppys. The babys are very small so it is important that you put fake plants for them to hide or they will be eaten.

Put male and females in a tank and let mother nature do the rest, it wont be long before your sick of the sight of them and are begging people to take them off your hands as you will have so many of them.
