It seems to be Icelandic (or Faeroese) meaning 'mould' or 'form' ... as in 'when they made you they broke the mould' (if you are American, then you will spell it 'mold').

Faeroese - mynda: model, mold, mould.
Icelandic - mynda: constitute, form.
