'Never mind' is a Compound Word (ONE WORD) used as Open Compound 'never mind' or a Closed Compound, 'nevermind'. But in spoken language it is utters as a Cosed Compound & in writing formally, it is used as an open compound.

Never mid: is used to tell someone that they should not think about something or do something because it is not as important as something else or

because, you'll do it. (Eg: Never mind the car. 'Never mind washing the dishes. I'll do them later'

nevermind is also used when one says something to another & the other person asks him to repeat by saying, 'Pardon' or 'What?' The speaker is pissed at repeating what he has told & lash back saying, 'Nevermind'! It is an annoying word.
