I was just wondering because I thought I heard it was illegal. But my dad says it isn't. I tried to check on the web, but I couldn't find anything. Please help me.

If the DVD contains any legal full version paid softwares, movies, copyrighted music or any documents which says copying is prohibited, then its absolutely illegal :(

It Is not as long as you have it for your own use
but if you made copies that Is illegal

but for some reason when i go to the market every weekend
i see them selling bootleg Movies lol

You are allowed to make one copy for personal use only by copyright law. You can put in on your C: drive or re-burn it, but can't put it on a server or the web.

As long as you keep the data for yourself, and don't copy it to someone else, then yes, I believe it is legal.

You could also put it on your iPod for example, as long as the iPod is registered to you.

If you go to prison over my advice I promise I'll send money each month.

Its legal as long as you are using it for your own personal use and not giving copies to someone else.

no, it's not legal.All you have to do is read the warning at the beginning of every dvd.
