Same problem with me, i always remember i had to do this and that after shutting my computer down :((

Aha, that is called 'sods law'!

It happens to me so often that I actually write a little note to myself so I don't forget what I actually came on the pc to do lol.

That's why you need to logoff or sleep instead of power-down. sleep mode uses only 20-40 percent of full power.
