This was a 90s-ish movie played on UPN a few years back, don't know if its a tv or released movie- but the story is basically a small town girl who finds a newspaper ad for modeling and decides to try it out in order to make some money...she heads to a big city and just kind of gets deeper and deeper into the work, doing more and more questionable things along the way. She was a brunette I think..and she talked to her family on the phone while she was livign in the city and she made a lot of money in the beginning too.

Years ago, I saw a movie with a similar theme. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the film...BUT I do remember that it starred Mare Winnigham and she's a brunette. Hope that helps!
