I know that I sound like an infomercial here but I started using proactiv a year ago. That is actually the first thing that it did was get rid of my blackheads & make my pores look smaller. I love it. It's worth a shot. It's expensive but I was spending way more money on trial & error cheaper products. Good luck.

hey gurly...i have asked a similer question before about my pores and black heads and i got alot of good suggestions and one of them was to use the nuetrogena facial products..i tried it and it worked wonders for my face...i had a problem with black heads so i bout neutrogena face wash, neutrogena black head scrub, neutrogena astrigent and this is the best one u can use to wipe your face with daily twice and you will see the difference in a week....another thing u can try is use this yellow in colour spice called "turmeric"...(u can find it any indian or asian stores)..u mix the powder wid water and make it into a fine paste...apply it all around ur face and let it dry..u can feel it tingle while its dryin which is good..then wash it off...it might look a lil yellow at first but nothing that wont come off so jus wash it again with face wash and tada u can see the results straight away..turmeric is used in many asian cultures as a beauty secret and most of the women use it before they get married as to be beautiful and appealing on their wedding day..lol..well hope it works for u cuz all of the above really worked for me...and im happy with da results..

a face mask with clay in it. the clay when it drys sucks the oil and dirt in your pores. I have noaturaly large pores. I got microdermabrasion to reduce and soften my skin. It works great but it is expensive.

Use a skin toner such as witch hazel. (or something labled "astringent"
Another thing that helps is a clay mask product such as Bath and Bodyworks "Neem pore refining face mask"

The best answer that works for me, and is highly effective is:
Regular soap (a good brand though = Dove) and water. And make sure you don't come in contact with oils, and dirt substances to your face.
