It's a San Francisco Giants' promotional activity, to build fan spirit.
For Friday night home games, fans are encouraged to wear as much orange as possible. The fan who is the "Orangeist", gets a prize. One particular individual occasionally dresses as a Giant pumpkin. He is very plump (at least his costume makes him look so) and dances like crazy. The fans appreciate his antics. It's a fun experience. I assume the Baltimore Orioles do something similar.
