You can use JAL or another US carrier. I've always had the best luck with travel agents. They'll find you a good deal.

I have travelled this route more than ten times from Chicago to Tokyo. My answer is JAL (Japan Airlines) for both economy and business class. I have heard Singapore Airlines is also good but the Japanese stewardess knows how to take care of the passengers. Service is great and politeness is a must!

JAL, Singapore, Cathay Pacific. Just make sure not to take United, Northwest, or American. If your flying to Asia you should experience service on an Asian airline. Cathay Pacific won Airline of the year 2006.

I recommend ANA today.
I often chose JAL before. But since 2005, many small troubles and accidents have occurred. TV news reports there are internal dissension in the company.
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, issued a business improvement administrative order to JAL.

Either Singapore or Korea.
Singapore has great service and the seating in the economy class was very comfortable. Also you get you own tiny TV in front of your seat so you can watch whatver you want.
Korea I like because of the food.
They serve Bi Bim Bap with fresh veg and rice.
Very nice. Also cheap.
JAL and ANA are both decent. They have Japan quality service but usually the price is Japan quality as well.

so a procedures as i understand, basically freight companies use the Boeing 727. airways have phased out the 727 because of the fact you like 3 human beings to fly it at the same time as diverse airplane basically require 2 human beings. additionally the 727 is an older airplane and the engines at the instant are not to any extent further as gas valuable. I certainly have seen FedEx use the 727. united stateshas gotten rid of their fleet as my chum who flies for united statesdid carry out the 727 and now might desire to be being experienced on the Airbus 3 hundred.

try ANA(All Nippon Airlines) and JAL(Japan Airlines)...those are great airliners that can take you to where you want to go. Surley there are many others, but those are the most common.
Talk to a travel agent. They will give you all the info you need.
HAVE FUN^_^

I really like China Airlines...Northwest isn't too bad but the service is better on China and on a long flight that makes a difference.

You assumed the prices are the same but there are other
conditions to be taken into consideration, such as FFP (do you
choose $50 cheaper fare than 12K miles ?) or departing airport
(there are only few airports where JL and NH are serving).
If you could ignore all theses conditions, I'd recommend SQ.
