Unfortunately yes,
sad but true-- it has just been recently that I have found out I moved away from my Drama Filled town and moved into a larger place and experience more. I missed my friends but when I went home it wasn't like it used to be and kind of felt like I didn't fit in which I guess is not necessarily a bad thing.

yes. and i believe it happens to everyone with at least a few friends. if you are growing and maturing, often a changed perspective leads to new ideas regarding what friendship should be and what should be important in that relationship, as well as what should be important in life generally.

so my answer is yes, and it is totally ok, and i wish you the best in finding new, more likeminded or more stimulating friends.

Yes. It's the same as a romantic relationship on that level. If you don't grow together then you grow apart. It happens sometimes.

Sometimes you will be great friends with someone at school or work, and when you leave, or they leave, you don't have as much in common, as much to talk about, and you just drift apart. It's no one's fault, it just happens.

Yep, it happened with me and my "best" friend from childhood. We just don't have anything in common anymore.
